🌐 Technical Sales Engineer (CNC & Tooling)

Location: Field-based (ROI)
Reporting To: Sales Director

Role Overview:

You will be the vital technical link between our world-class product portfolio and our expanding customer base across Ireland. In this field-based role, you will manage existing client relationships and search for new opportunities within the engineering manufacturing sector. Your technical expertise will directly drive process improvements and design optimisation for our customers.

Company Overview:

We proudly represent world-leading brands within the engineering sector. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join our sales team. This role offers full office backing and senior engineer application support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Visits: Maintain customer relationships and grow customer base providing remote support when required.
  • Application Support: Deliver expert technical product and applications advice utilising our premium CNC and tooling product lines.
  • Product Promotion: Introduce and demonstrate new tooling offerings, promotions, and technology upgrades to customer base.
  • Partner Collaboration: Organize and execute joint customer site visits alongside our global key manufacturing partners.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Collaborate closely with our service department and senior application engineer on large-scale, ongoing engineering projects.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify, engage, and build trading relationships with new customers in the manufacturing sector.
  • Reporting: Compile and furnish comprehensive monthly trading, sales activity & sales visits reports to Sales Director.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Background: Time-served Engineer with a proven track record in manufacturing environments
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working closely with customers to deliver tangible process improvements.
  • Technical Skills: Strong, deep knowledge of CNC machining. Practical experience with CAD/CAM systems is highly desirable.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a good command of the English language a passionate emphasis on customer care and relationship building.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively throughout Ireland to meet customer needs.

Location: Limerick, Ireland

About the Role:

As an expanding precision engineering solution company, MTT have the vacancy for a self-motivated, Field Service Client Services Manager / Project Manager.

This role is responsible for overseeing and strengthening the relationship between two partner organisations within the manufacturing and engineering sector. This role acts as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless coordination, streamlined processes, and successful delivery of joint projects. The position combines relationship management, operational oversight, and project management to drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship between both companies
  • Act as the main point of contact for all client interactions
  • Coordinate and deliver cross-company projects on time and within scope
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor performance and report on KPIs (delivery, quality, service)
  • Resolve issues and ensure high levels of client satisfaction

 

Process Improvement & Streamlining

  • Analyse existing workflows between both companies and identify inefficiencies
  • Develop and implement improved processes to enhance collaboration, reduce lead times, and optimise output

 

Project Management

  • Define scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, KPIs, and milestones

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in client services, account management, or project management within manufacturing/engineering
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder or partnership environment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies (desirable)

🌐 CNC Service Engineer

About the Role:

As an expanding precision engineering solution company, MTT have the vacancy for a self-motivated, Field Service CNC Engineer.

Duties will include;

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Repair of mechanical and electrical faults in CNC Equipment
  • Installation and commissioning of CNC Equipment
  • Performing annual services and preventative maintenance on CNC Equipment
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support customer requirements

 

The ideal candidate for the role would have experience in;

  • Working on CNC and/or PLC controlled manufacturing equipment
  • Electrical and Mechanical fault finding
  • Have some knowledge of electronics
  • A good level of computer literacy
  • Will hold a full driver’s licence
  • The ability to read system schematics
  • Should have good communication skills
  • Good spoken and written English

 

Desirable skills;

  • An understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and systems
  • Basic understanding of CNC code and Ladder Logic
  • Level 5 qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline, or a relevant recognised apprenticeship

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated person to expand their skillset, and become an expert in an industry that is at the fore-front of manufacturing technology. This role would be ideally suited to mechatronic maintenance technicians with experience working in a manufacturing factory environment.
